Heavily modified early 914

Strange modification to the turn indicators... 

Dash is basically gone & some sheet metal & roll bar in it's place...

Since the dash is gone, it clearly shows the steering linkage arrangement where the intermediate shaft goes to the centerline of the car where the input shaft of the steering rack is located.  The rack is basically the same as on a 911 which also had a central input shaft (good for making RHD versions of the car, as well as the rack being easy to use on a single seater race car... 


The flares are similar to the factory flares used in the racing version of the early 914 & 914-6, as raced by the factory (at Le Mans, for example...) 


This car drew my attention because it was pretty dirty and looked like it was regularly driven.  This is better than the perfect shiny cars with no dirt at all...
