MGB -- Replaced the fuel filter

The fuel filter is located in the driver's side, front of the engine bay.
The blue arrows point to the filter and fuel pressure gauge.

In order to get the old filter off, had to remove the bracket on the top right of the picture (just one screw).
Also had to remove the short hose at the bottom of the picture.
That's because the hose connection at the filter was stuck pretty tight.
It was easier to get the filter off once it was out of the car.

Installed the clear plastic filter.

Turned on the ignition (fuel pump).
I expected the plastic filter to fill up right away.
But it didn't.
It's hard to see but there's just a little bit of fuel in the bottom of the plastic filter and the fuel is dribbling into the filter.
The flow rate is very low.
The fuel is very clear and clean.
The flow is so poor, I didn't even try to start the engine...

Next is replacing the small aftermarket electric fuel pump (mounted near the fuel tank).
Ordered a Mr. Gasket brand low pressure pump.
Should be here in a few days...

May be hard to see.
The fuel is barely dribbling into the filter (at the top).

Tuesday, June 28, 2022 -- Manhattan Beach Pier - Overcast but Nice

It's sunny and warm in Culver City (80 F).
But at the beach, it's overcast and cooler (around 70 F).
The beach weather is nicer for riding...
