Glendale Toy Swap Meet - January 19, 2019 -- Part 6

Boyce MotoMeter -- Radiator Temperature Gauge ( (Before & After Cleaning)

Letting some penetrating oil sit in the bottom of this radiator thermometer so that I can disassemble for cleaning...  I'll give it a day.

After a long soaking...  All the liquid has evaporated.

The nut same off very easily.

Didn't take a picture of before taking the base off.  All the parts are tarnished, rusty or dirty...

All the parts separated, before cleaning.
The right one hasn't been cleaned yet...

Wire wheeled the nut.  It turned out to be brass.

Scotchbrite and steel wool...

Scotchbrite and steel wool to make the metal more shiny...

It's always hot! (the thermometer is broken...)

It was quite a bit of work but it cleaned up really nice.

Christmas-New Years break in the UK -- Part 13 -- Natural History Museum & Lunch at Ceru Restaurant

Darwin

Of all the museums and old buildings we were in, this was the most attractive.  What a fantastic building...

Walked by this sandwich shop/deli.  They were cutting prosciutto directly from legs mounted on the counter (you can see it just in front of the guy at the counter.  It looks like a beautiful store but I couldn't eat it after seeing the leg with the hoof and all...  There was a Five Guys burger place across the street from this place (you can see the sign reflected in the glass front.).

Had lunch at a nice restaurant called Ceru, tapas style place.  They had their own brand microbrewery beer.  The food was good but we ordered too much...
