From the British Swap Meet (Saturday, July 31, 2021) -- Two Speedometers

Looks kinda like the one in the MGB...  Pretty dirty and the chrome is a bit pitted.

After initial cleaning.
The chrome ring and glass is relatively easy to take off to clean the inside (next step).

140 MPH speedo.  From something with a bit more performance than the MGB.  Don't know what yet...

After initial cleaning.
The chrome ring and glass is relatively easy to take off on this one too.  Will do next...

Wednesday, July 28, 2021 -- Dockweiler Beach Parking Lot...

Saturday, July 31, 2021 -- "Reunion" Car Show @ Driving Museum -- Part 2

Inline 6.  Should be pretty smooth...

Cool Chevrolet badge design.

Pretty stylish hood ornament

Very cool domed lens on the headlamp pods.
The pods themselves are very cool and so are the running lamps on the fenders.

Ivy on Magnolia...

The Ivy on the Magnolia tree in front of the house needs to be trimmed before it gets any higher.
Otherwise, I'll need a ladder to trim it back.

After trimming...
When it hasn't grown too high, it doesn't take too long to trim it.
It's trash day tomorrow so also convenient to place the green bin on the curb next to the tree!

Saturday, July 31, 2021 -- British Car Swap Meet (Lake Forrest) -- Part 2

This Lotus 7 is for sale.
The price on the flyer was around $45,000...

MGB -- General Checks Under the Hood...

The coolant level at the radiator was a little bit low.
Added some water (about 1/2 L).
This two pin electrical connector has been unplugged since I got the car.  Not sure what it's for but goes into what looks like a pressure sensor on the brake system...

Quite a bit of green corrosion on the female pins...

The male pins on the brake hose distribution block are pretty corroded too...

Brake & Clutch fluid reservoirs.

The brake fluid lever is a bit low.

Topped up the fluid level...
This is what the level mark on the side of the reservoir indicates is the correct level...

Added a little bit to the clutch reservoir also.
Both require DOT3 compatible fluid.
Brake fluid is hydroscopic (absorbs water) so want to keep the caps tight to keep out air/moisture.
