Tuesday, May 4, 2021 -- Manhattan Beach Pier -- Overheard a conversation
I was resting at a bench (just out of the frame on the right) when I overheard a conversation between two people (one of them is the guy standing in the right of the picture with a mask and a bicycling cap on).
The guy in the picture struck up a conversation with the guy sitting on a bench. He was talking about how difficult bicycling was getting since he turned 91. I think he was saying he wants to get either a cruiser type of bicycle or an electric bicycle (maybe it was an electric cruiser?).
Then he asked the guy sitting on the bench how old he is.
92, he said & something to the effect that he can't ride as hard as he used to but can still ride a road bike.
Nice to see a couple of guys in their 90s riding bicycles...
