914 Fuchs...

Just traded with a friend for these two Porsche 914 Fuchs wheels.
They were factory optional upgrades.
I already had two (I can't remember where I got them) & they're hanging over the garage door entrance (on the inside of the garage).
Now I have a set of 4.
Of course, I don't really need them for my 914, since it already has the Mahle factory option wheels on the car.
But, the Fuchs are pretty nice and they're unique in that they were also meant for only the 914, like the Mahle.

Part #

Size (using SAE Standard nomenclature)

Since the car was "built" by VW, the wheels have the VW logo cast in.
The bodies were built by Karmann, many components were common to Porsche 911, final assembly by VW.
My guess is that 473 is for April, 1973 as a manufacturing date code.
Don't know what the "check" and "V" marks are for.

I don't know what these numbers mean.
Probably the supplier's part # & logo
