Old & Rough Tool Case - part 16 -- Vacuuming & Cleaning the Drawer Fronts -- Top Full Width Drawer

Before vacuuming

Closer view of the dirt in the drawer

After vacuuming.  There's a worn out spot in the back.  Wonder what was kept there...

Dirt on the knob.  The drawer front has been cleaned with the Simple Green and the kitchen scrubber...

This one just says "28" on the back

The drawer is in good structural shape

There's a lot of greasy finger prints on the bottom of the drawer, towards the front.  At first I was going to clean this but had second thoughts.  It may represent 80+ years of someone using the drawer...
I'll leave it.  It's not visible but the history is still there...

It's ready to go back in the case

Drawer #4 done.  Two more to go...

Friday, October 16, 2020 -- Manhattan Beach Pier (socked-in...)

It started out sunny at home (about 4.5 miles from the beach).  It started getting foggy within about 1/2 mile from the beach.  Then it was pretty much socked-in at the beach.
It's another warm day (high of 88F at home) so the fog made it cooler (maybe low 70s?), which is good for riding...

I sat and rested at the bench closest to me.  The guy on the other bench was talking on his phone, facing me so it was pretty loud.  Something about renting and how bad tenants are.
Really didn't want to hear it but couldn't avoid it, unless I wanted to move somewhere else...
Later, when riding home, I passed this guy about a mile from home on the Ballona Creek trail.
I did notice that the bike is an older Colnago with the ribbed tubing...
