Sunday, February 13, 2022 -- LB Car SM -- Part 6 -- AIM Steering Wheel

Suede leather wrapped race steering wheel.

Rear view

The metal (aluminum?) portion is a bit dirty...

Cleaning process...

Came out pretty good

Not familiar with this company/brand.  Looked it up and they sell this type of steering wheel now.
The one I have must be very old...

After cleaning the suede leather, using a suede brush.

Monday, February 21, 2022 -- President's day holiday -- Cool (high 50s) and very windy but at least it's sunny

Flag is flying stiff.

Had a mid-day meeting (worked through lunch) so bike ride was late.

Sunday, February 20, 2022 -- LB Antique SM -- Part 3 -- No idea what this is...

Big shaft on a very heavy duty ball bearing.
The shaft is tapered (there's cuts on four sides, allowing the top to be smaller than the base.
If a close fitting shaft was to be slid through the center, the tapered outer would tend to have some interference/clamping force on the inner shaft...

Hollow tube

May be able to be adapted to be a base for something that can rotate (like a small table or stool, or?)

Some rust on the bearing

Hard to make out.
I think it says FLTI

The shaft goes through the bearing and is fixed in place somehow.
The four notches are obviously for something to mate to.

A bit hard to make out so used a wire brush to clean it a bit first.

Better...
The last part is "-410"

Middle part is "A0C63"

First part is HCP (logo)

Four holes on the bearing.
One looks to be clogged with heavy grease.

From a late-60s Australian Holden (GM) Ute. (car based pickup).

What the car looks like.
Their version/concept of an El Camino.
RHD of course...

1960s Chevy Impala Badge

This one had the three mounting pins snipped off.
Also, judging by there being no part number on the back, it's most likely a reproduction badge.
