Sunday, February 27, 2022 -- Porsche Show/Swap @ Boys Republic -- Part 19

Porsche Mug -- Broken handle -- Glued back together with 2-part epoxy

Set 24 hours.
Should be good to use.

Been using it for a few days & it seems to be holding up.
Time will tell...

small pieces chipped off at the top joint.
There's enough contact surface area to have a strong joint.
Time will tell.

Broken Mavic Ksyrium ES Spoke -- Part 9 & Last - Put the fixed wheel back on the bike

I put the rear wheel back on the bike.
Checked for true and the wheel had a little too much tension in the area of the new spokes.
Used the special nipple wrench to back off the tension on the newest spoke.
The wheel came closer to true.  Not perfect but the runout was about 1/8", which is small enough that the brakes don't drag when the wheel is turning.
It's about as good as this wheel is going to get, with most of the spokes now being non-adjustable due to the corroded/stuck spoke nipples (some are broken).
The rear wheel is pretty much on it's last leg.

I went for a ride with the repaired wheel and the bike rode normal.
No brake drag that I noticed and no noticeable imbalance or wobble from the rear wheel/tire.
Good for now.

I can ride on the Campagnolo rear wheel that I was using temporarily but then the front and the rear wheels don't match.
I kinda like them to match.

Tuesday, March 15, 2022 -- Manhattan Beach Pier - Warm Day (low 70s)

At the hang gliding spot.
First time seeing such large animal balloon kites.

The blue one is massive...
Bike path on the right.

Supporting the LH upper cabinet in the garage

The left side upper cabinet has been sagging due to the heavy load in the cabinet and some water damage to the cabinet.
Using a jack, raised up the cabinet and supported the back of the cabinet with this piece of wood.

Now the cabinet is straight and the doors now line up about right.
Before raising, the LH door was misaligned to the next door by about 1/2".

Sunday, March 13, 2022 -- Long Beach Car Swap Meet -- part 6 -- Porsche 911 "butterfly" steering wheel horn button

Needs cleaning/repainting.
Someone modified the center to glue/epoxy in a later Porsche wheel center cap into the center of the horn ring.

the back is pretty much unmolested...

I think there's supposed to be a rubber "insulator/isolator" in the center.

Double Sided Leather Case -- After cleaning, applied leather conditioner

Don't know what to store in this.
Maybe glasses or ?

Sunday, March 6, 2022 -- PCC Swap Meet -- Part 9 - Ceramic Bowl with Lid
