Old & Rough Tool Case - part 6 - removed the clamps from the lid and started cleaning the leatherette

After removing the clamps (glue dried overnight).  The outer side of the front lid.

The inner side of the lid.

The lid is pretty flat after gluing.

The glue joint is where the tear line is for the leatherette.  The two pieces are pretty straight.

This is the LH side slide pin.

The LH side slide pin is slightly bent.  It's probably from  the force  when the lid is slid out and the pins hit the end of the channel in the case side that they slide in.  The pins are not loose.

This is the RH side of the lid.  Again showing that the two pieces glued together are pretty straight.

The leatherette is lifting at this corner.

Another set of pictures of the RH pin.

Wednesday, October 7, 2020 -- made miso ramen again for dinner

Modified the recipe slightly to include more of the aromatics (garlic, ginger & onion), added thinly sliced pork cut into smaller pieces and reduced the amount of spicy paste.  Used three servings of the fresh noodles, for two bowls/servings.  Turned out pretty good.

1997 Toyota Models Brochure

This minivan had the most amazing drivetrain.  Mid-engine, inline-4 engine tipped nearly horizontal to make the height of the engine as low as possible.  Rear wheel drive.  Some were supercharged.  The drivetrain layout is basically ideal for a super handling sports car (very low CG of the powertrain and masses located near the center of the vehicle).

You rarely see these Supras anymore.  Especially with the targa top or in this fantastic blue color.

The two door version had a very short wheelbase and was very cool.

The old red and white land cruiser in the background is very subtle...
