Colnago Tecno -- Removing rust from the chrome fork

Cleaned off the rust dissolver.  Still pretty rusty.

Back side of the fork

Applied the rust dissolver again (pink color liquid/gel).  Will allow to sit 24 hours...

Renault wrench -- Before & After Cleaning

Repairing the Front Brake and Derailleur -- Part 13 & last... (Cleaned, Lubed & Installed the chain -- Bike is ready to Ride)

Cleaned the Bontrager bottle cage

The rust neutralizer was applied twice on the rusty pedal spindles, per the directions (RH side)

LH side

Rust neutralizer was also applied to this exposed area of the aluminum at the crankset.  It doesn't turn black on the aluminum.

Cleaned the chainring.  It's pretty badly corroded and the teeth are pretty worn.  May not have a lot of life left.

Installed the cleaned & lubed chain (took it off to clean and lube, since it has a quick release link)

Chain fed through the rear of the bike.  The bike has not been this clean an lubed since I bought it used about 7 years ago...

Adjusted the front derailleur so that with the chain on the big ring up front and on the big gear in the back, the chain does not rub on the derailleur.  Most of the time, I ride with the chain on the front big ring and usually use the bigger half of the rear 10 gears.  So, there's usually a lot of "cross chain" condition, where the chain is not aligned very straight, front to rear.

The bike is ready to ride.  New tires, cleaned and lubed skewers, including a new one up front, new front brake cable, front derailleur cable, new LH brake/shift lever assembly, new bar tape, rust neutralizer applied at all the corrosion points, all moving parts checked and items that can be cleaned and lubed taken care of.  Will try to test ride it this weekend.

Pelican Parts Cars & Coffee -- Saturday, June 15, 2019 (in Palos Verdes)

Like the general styling on the current mustang. This is a Shelby GT350.  The car is too big though and the windows are too small...

This very nice mini cooper S drove in.  Very nice color combo.

Nice recent Boxster in a very attractive dark red.

This Audi R8 has the gated shifter...  Very cool

The R5 Turbo's steering wheel has an attractive color striped section

The size of this car is more to my liking (than the Mustang, for example)

The exhaust tips on the Carrera GT looks like the exhaust of a jet fighter plane (with the afterburners)

The rear 3/4 view is the best view of the Daytona

The steering wheel looks like it's at the angle of a school bus (not very vertical).  Really nice seat design with the multi-panels, two tone leather & the cooling holes for ventilation...

Any car with a flip-up rear end is pretty cool (550 Spyder is another one...).

The supercharger is visible below the intercooler tubing.

This aluminum (oil?) tank looks to be hand made...

Reminds me of my 1987 MR2 that I put about 100,000 miles on...

This 1958 VW is the father of all the Porsches around it...

The Jaguar XJ220 doesn't look too big next to these more newer cars...

This is one of the best views of the car

I really like the wheels on this car

The interior looks like it's from an 1980s Toyota Camry.  I think the Camry was higher quality...

Another good angle for this car...

The gray 911 is a 50th anniversary edition

This Alfa has a pretty funky instrument panel

Audi Quattro.  Cool seat cushion and door panel trim.

GB's 356.  Nice license plate frame  (the dealer is long gone...)

The car is pretty stock except for the steering wheel.

Two convertibles next to each other...

This angle really shows off the upside down bathtub shape of the body

The Boxster I like...

This old BMW 5 series is very modified but mostly in an interesting way...

Interesting light color inserts in the door panels

This Thing looks like a lot of fun to drive, especially around the beach cities...

The interior of the DeLorean  is pretty low quality.  The hand brake lever on the LH side of the driver's seat is pretty crappy looking & would get in the way of going in and out of the car!

The BMW i* Roadster in pretty cool...

Cool Toyota Starlet.  Wish the purple color was just a little bit darker (more like a dark eggplant)...

The big rockers on this McLaren look pretty tough to get in and out of...

The interior is too dark...

Looks good in black.  Much better than red or white...

The hills are still pretty green in PV...

Nice trim along the wheel openings and rockers.   I like this look better than the flared fender add-on look.

Nice Moto-Lita Wheel.

Australian plate.

The valve cover on this 2002 looks nice polished (I have one somewhere in the garage).

Unfortunate steering wheel...

Nice contrast between the two mid-engined cars on the left.

Real 356 speedster

nice installation of a small block in a 24Z

This Boxster is a very attractive dark chocolate  color with a nearly match cloth top.  This is the color combo I would choose for a Boxster.

Like the "6C" logo on the top of the intake manifold.

Would like to have one of these valve covers...
