Dining table bench - part 19 -- Legs - Sanding

Starting sanding all the pieces with 60 grit (coarse) sand paper on a random orbit sander.

Table saw marks, before sanding.

After sanding.

Some pieces have more table saw "burn" than others...

Sanded all the edges first.

Then, moved on to the wider sides.

Done with 60 grit.

Worked outside to keep the sawdust out of the garage.

All the pieces ready for the next sanding.

Switched to 100 grit paper.
Then, to 150 grit paper.

All done with the sanding.
Ready for the next step.

Cleaning the Chain & Old Worn Dura-Ace Cassette - Part 2 -- Cleaned three pieces of the cassette so far...

This is the Dura-Ace lock "nut".
I think it got scratched up when I shook all the gears inside the container that I had the parks soaking in with the cleaner...

The threads are actually in good condition.
There's also a very thin wave-spring washer on the back side.

Cleaned this combined two middle gears.

Cleaned one other gear (16 teeth).

There's still 7 more gears to clean...

The Classic Twin-Cam Engine -- Part 7

Saturday, January 9, 2021 -- Manhattan Beach Pier

It's a nice day.
Sunny and temperatures in the low 70s (F).

The bike path and the pier are very busy/crowded...

Honey

S gave me this jar of honey.  She doesn't use honey much.
She got it as a gift from a friend.
I use it almost every day in my chamomile tea...

Almost all gone...
