Dining table bench - part 22 -- Legs - Put together one of the two legs assemblies...

Cutting all the biscuit slots...

Because of the 5 degree angle on the legs, the ends had to be clamped at 5 degrees so that the end of the legs are flush with the work bench.
Then, I can cut the biscuit slots to match the horizontal pieces of the legs...
This process was a bit finicky but it was the fastest way of cutting the slots without creating a special jig.
Reference lines were drawn on all the locations where the slots were cut...

First did a dry fit of the pieces with the biscuits to confirm that things lined up OK.
Then, glue was applied and one of the two leg assemblies was put together...

Clamped up the one leg assembly.
The wooden mallet (with a leather face) was used to "adjust" the fit between the pieces after clamping (there's enough "play" in the biscuits to adjust the pieces, before the glue sets...).
Will let it sit overnight to dry.

Christmas arrivals -- 1/64 scale - 1991 Acura Integra LS, 1976 Honda Civic CVCC & 1971 MGB GT

The quality of this Tomica is pretty amazing.
This is exactly the car that was CM's first new car, purchased in 1991.  Even the color and trim spec. is correct.
The only obvious difference is the RHD interior (in the wrong color...) and the wheels.
It was a good car...

I took a poor/blurry picture.
But, actually it looks like it's moving and looks better than a static picture.
The model is pretty crude so the blurring actually helps!

The Classic Twin-Cam Engine -- Part 10

Cleaning the Chain & Old Worn Dura-Ace Cassette - Part 4 -- 7 of the 10 gears...

Another spacer (I think there's just two spacers in the cassette).

Cleaned the 14 teeth gear.
The wear is pretty prominent on this gear.  The teeth have "crushed" areas where the metal is spread sideways resulting in burrs on the teeth.
Also, the shape of the half circles between the teeth are exaggerated to more of an oval shape due the the wear.

7 of 10...
