Flat File in the Middle of the Garage -- What's in the drawers -- Part 2
I have this large envelope with some diagrams of an MGA & the last RWD Corolla GTS.
The idea I was playing around with was to take an MGA and install the powertrain and suspension from the Corolla.
This is the plan view of the Corolla hardware.
I was able to get a line-drawing from a Japanese brochure.
The brochure was white on black, so I had to reverse the color.
The brochure had text all around the diagram so had to make a copy and cut that part out before reversing the colors...
This is the Side View of the MGA drivetrain...
This is about what I started with for the Corolla side view diagram.
Turned it more into a line drawing. This is in the middle of the process...
Here's just the drivetrain portion.
The shifter location was critical to see if it lines up OK versus the MGA...
Lining things up so that the engine/trans is about on top of each other, the shifter location is just a few inches too far forward.
If possible, I would move the Corolla engine/trans rearward just a bit to line up the shifter.

What's nice about the weather and it being mid-week is that the bike path is pretty empty.

It was a kid going surfing...
