Snap-on screw holder

An interesting tool.
It actually works really well.
Can't really think of a situation where I needed something like this in the past.
But, you never know...

Two of the four prongs rotate when the tip is moved up/down about 1 mm.

This is with the tip not moved up.

This is with the tip moved up (locked position).
The screw is placed in position with the tip locked like this.

The yellow arrow points to the gap when the tip is moved up into the locked position.
The orange arrow points in the direction of movement to lock the tip in place.
The green arrow points to a notch in the tip that engages a fixed piece and acts as a lock.

With the tip in the locked position, put the screw in place.

To lock the screw in place, pull the tip down to unlock the tip.

This is with the screw locked in place by the holder.
The holder is being held vertically with the screw pointing down.
The holding strength is surprisingly high.
Doesn't slip off easily.

Very unusual to see fuel gauges with the number of gallons (or liters) called out on the gauge.
9 gallons is a pretty small fuel tank.

Confirmed online that it's from a series I Sunbeam Alpine.
