Sunday, May 22, 2022 -- Long Beach Motorcycle Swap Meet -- Part 4 -- 1967 VW Bug Speedometer

Pretty dirty.
The chrome ring has some rust...

Find the gauge design, colors and graphics very attractive.
One of the best designs for any car...

Like others I've seen, the thin color tint film for the directional indicator is missing.
74,533 miles (or 174,533 or 274,533 or?)

Someone pried on the trim ring at one of the mounting ears.
Looks like they gave up when it was obvious that the ring won't come off by prying in one location...

The numbers stamped into the back of the housing are difficult to read.

Part #

Don't know what these number are for.

Production month and year.

Used some steel wool to clean the metal around the numbers.
Part #:  111957023E.
111 is for VW Bug (sedan)...

Don't know what W 0.80 stands for.

Production month and year (October 1966, which should make the car that it was installed in a 1967 Model.

Sometimes/often the indicator needle is broken.
This one is OK.
