Wood Puzzle -- Made in England (late '50s or early '60s?)

Schwinn Paramount -- Installed the cleaned chain from the Miele bike and installed the "missing link" -- Also adjusted the derailleurs

This 7.3 mm missing-link is the right size.  It it was narrower (the 7.1 mm), then it would not go on.  The 7.3 mm missing-link just barely goes on this chain.

Adjusting the front derailleur was very tricky.  The chain-ring is oval so you have to get the larger part of the gear near the chain-guide.  It needs to be close but not touch.  Also, the cable needs to be installed with the right amount of "pre-load" so that it's resting position is correct for the small ring.  It took many adjustments to get it where it should be.  In this picture, the chain-guide is tool much to the left at it's rest position.

This is closer to where it needs to be... but not quite right yet.

The oval chain-ring (gear) makes the front derailleur adjustment quite difficult.

The chain guide is not too close to the big ring at it's resting position.  Need to adjust it again...

The rear derailleur was much easier to adjust.  There's a small adjuster built into the derailleur that allowed for easy adjustment to get the SIS (indexing) to work just right.  I think the rear derailleur hanger is slightly bent.  The chain-line is not quite right.  I'll have to see if I can bent the derailleur hanger slightly...
