Prologo Scratch PRO seat -- Before & After Cleaning

BMW Steering wheel - Before & After Cleaning

As purchased.  Not too bad a condition; just a little dirty and missing the center emblem

Popped out all the horn buttons to clean inside.

After cleaning.  The picture doesn't really show much of a difference.

Already had a center emblem.  Popped it in.  Looks good.

Kitchen Faucet Repair - LH (Hot) Side - Saturday, March 9, 2019

Didn't take many pictures.  The kitchen faucet has been dripping for quite awhile.  Finally got around to try and fix it this weekend...

The washer between the nut and the metal cup (with the seal in it) completely rusted away.  Went to B&B Hardware (on Washington Place) to get a replacement rubber seal.  The hole in the middle of the seal didn't match so I had to drill it out to the larger hole diameter.  Also, with the new rubber seal, the nut was very difficult to put back on because the seal was a little thicker than the original.  Was quite an ordeal to get it all to go back together.  After I put everything back together, the faucet still dripped but very little.  The seal may need a little bit of time to "seat" itself.  I'll replace the RH side (cold) seal tomorrow and see if the dripping stops...

Willow Springs, Sunrise & Long Beach Swap Meet -- Sunday, March 10, 2019

Didn't know about this event.  Looks like it could be fun to attend...

Someone was asking almost $19,000 for this pretty poor condition 914 (rust holes in the quarter panels).  This to me is a $5,000 car, at most...

Fixed the Gate to the back yard

Added a reinforcement behind the bottom of the gate.  Two of the slats had broken off and one was about to fall off...  (didn't take a picture before the repair...)

Used a piece of pressure treated wood.  Drilled vertical holes through the lower stile & used lag-bolts to hold it all together.  Should last a few more years.  The gate wood is getting pretty rotten so at some point will have to build new gates...

(3) Schwinn Approved Road Bike Wheel Hub - Made in France - Clean balls & final reassembly

Need to clean the old grease off the ball bearings

All parts are clean and ready for assembly

Grease first applied to the bearing race

Now the balls will stay in place when located on the race (on both ends)

Install the shaft & the outer bearing race (the part with the flats on it)

Then a washer (with a notch so that it doesn't rotate)

Then the nut to lock the outer bearing race in place to keep the right amount of play around the bearings.

Done (nuts on the outside are for installation on the bike
