Fixing the microwave - Part 7 & Last

Decided to bend the metal tabs to make the bolt fit.
I happened to have this nut with a rectangular base that would be good for not rotating while the bolt is tightened.
Had to bend the tabs to get it to fit inside the tabs/fingers.

Got the nut piece inside and the bolt engaged.
Need to bend the metal tab fingers back.

Nearly done.
The bolt and nut are in place and need to adjust to fit and engage the claw piece without too much friction.

Claw piece back in place.
Needed to adjust slightly to reduce the friction.

Final fit.

Put the door cover back on.
It works better than before the repair.
But, the switch mechanism seems to also be finicky.
The microwave may be on it's last legs.
The rotating tray stopped working then started working again but makes abnormal noise.
Don't know how long we've had it but it may be time for a new one soon.
It wasn't expensive (Costco) and any more work in trying to repair may not be worth it.

Ended up using most of these tools (kept going back to the garage to get more tools throughout the process).
