Removing the steering wheel & column stalk unit - part 4 & Last

Removed stalk assembly.

Made by Bosch.

Will remove this little rusty bracket too.
Just a couple of 10 mm head bolts.

This is about as separated as I can get the column assembly.
Don't know what to do with the column & stalk assy...
Too nice to throw away.

There's nice ball bearings on the main shaft on both ends.

The splines for mating to the steering wheel are very fine.
As I recall, they no longer put splines on the steering wheel center.
They rely on the fine splines on the column making deformation on the steering wheel center, along with a high torque bolt to retain the steering wheel/position.

Swapping over the cassette - part 1

Need the (1) cassette removal tool (with a large nut shape),
(2) A large wrench to fit the nut shape &
(3) the cassette holding tool (Park tool with chain that is used to grasp the cassette to keep it from rotating while loosening the cassette locking ring)
