Campagnolo Cable Router - Reference Pictures from the one in the garage... Then Installation on Project Teledyne

The downtube is "necked" down to a smaller diameter to fit standard steel tubing type of hardware.  In this case, the area is for a cable guide.  In this picture, the bike is sitting upside down on the ground.

Initial installation of the guide.  Ended up rotating the guide so that it's centered so that the front deraileur cable doesn't contact the seat tube.

The smaller gear on the front crankset is contacting the chainstay.  I'm not sure how to fix this.  Will have to do some research...

Cut a piece of cable housing for the rear deraileur cable.

The bracket that holds the cable housing on the chainstay has a large hole that is just big enough for the cable housing only.
Using a rasp bit in a drill, I made the hole on the bracket large enough for the black cable end housing to go through.  It looks better with the black cap on the housing and it also keeps dirt out of the end of the housing better because it just has a very small hole just large enough for the cable to go through on the end.
On the other end of the housing, I put the same black plastic cap on the end.  It fits into the deraileur OK.

The cable then is clamped by the smooth headed bolt, as shown.  This deraileur does not have the nut that goes on the other side of the clamping bolt.  I have another used deraileur at home of the same model.  will check to see if it has the nut & transfer it over if it does.  If not, it shouldn't be too hard to find a nut that fits...

Here's the cable housing clamp, housing and cable all installed.  Need to be able to tighten the cable down.  Then, I can cut the cable & put a cap on it.

The front deraileur is a Campagnolo.  I don't have a similar vintage Shimano Dura Ace front deraileur.  If I ever find one at the bicycle swap meet, I'll probably switch it out.  The cable just needs to be cut and capped.

Cool flat file storage & coffee table on wheels...  It was very pricey though...

Cool old Land Cruiser with Trailer with Germany License Plates.  I don't think this version was ever sold in the USA.
