This ficus tree in the back yard needs regular trimming.
Noticed that one of the roots has actually grown through the brickwork near the tree and is lifting the bricks...

Started digging around the root...
Used a small axe to cut through the root.
Cut all the way through...
Also cut through the root on the other side of the bricks when it goes back into the dirt...
Cut all the way through...
Need to figure out how to remove the root from the bricks.
