Old & Rough Tool Case - part 30 -- Gluing down loose leatherette

Gluing down the loose leatherette on the LH side of the case...

This rear edge was loose and was glued down.

These loose threads were also glued down.

After applying glue...

this little spot on the front lid was also loose & was glued down.

Another small spot of loose leatherette towards the front right corner of the case was glued down.

At this point, the "refurbishment/cleaning" is getting near finished.
There's a few more things that can be done:

(1)  Treat the leatherette with some sort of protector with color in it (black) to even out the appearance and darken some of damaged spots to make it less noticeable.
(2) Wrap the handle with some leather (the current condition is such that every time you touch the handle, little bits of material falls off...
(3) Fix the lock & find a key that works so that when the lid is closed, it can be made to stay closed (if I'm not able to make this work, the case will still be functional; it's only an issue when transporting the case)
(4) Clean the corner protector and handle hardware (I'm not sure that I'm going to do this;  I may just leave them pretty much the way they are.  If the hardware gets too "shiny" it will clash with the condition of the rest of the case...  I may just lightly "clean" the rust with a scotchbrite pad to get any loose bits off then just put the hardware back on...)

1995 Motor Trend Performance Cars Buyer's Guide

They used to make all kinds of "buyer's guides" for various types of vehicles...

Great colors and layout.

I like this car...

Another great shot...

$62,000 for a Mitsubishi in 1995 ?!?!

Yet again a great shot...

Sounds like an interesting car to drive.
This car has one of the most interesting door hinges on a relatively modern car...

Another car I wish I had a chance to drive...

Don't remember Honda doing this...

2001 Honda Insight Brochure

This was a very small, two-seat hybrid hatchback.
The main goal was to achieve a very high fuel efficiency, thus it was also designed to be very aerodynamic and light.

It could be the basis of a pretty cool hot rod.  It has everything going for it except for power...

Unusual for a hybrid, it came with a 5-speed manual transmission, with an optional CVT.

The curb weight is listed at 1,847 lbs for the MT version.

Fuel economy is listed as 61/68 MPG (city/highway)!!!  Was this the most fuel efficient gasoline powered production car ever sold?
