PV bike ride with Jerome -- Sunday, June 23, 2019

Looking down on the south bay beaches (first is Redondo, then Hermosa, Manhattan, the power plant then LAX).
Just on the way up PV Drive East.  Looking down over the Trump golf course...

Colnago Tecnos -- Front Fork Rust Cleaning Continued

I've applied the rust dissolver twice.  It's getting better but there may be more improvement possible.  Applied another coat of the dissolver & will let it sit overnight...

After another night & some more cleaning, this is how it looks.  It's getting better, gradually.  I put yet another coating of the dissolver on it.  I think it may be the 5th time...

Did the cleaning process yet once again (lost count of how many times I've don it).
It's still getting better.  But, I think it's getting to the point of diminishing returns.  Next, I'll apply the rust stabilizer on.

This is the back side of the fork.  It's gotten a lot better.

The sides of the forks look pretty good.

Colnago Tecnos -- Chain Ring -- Before & After Cleaning

Before cleaning

Cleaned the outer surface of the chain ring and the crank arm.  Some areas needed filing to smooth out crash damage.  Also did some sanding with very fine sand paper & some very fine steel wool.
