Installing the bottom bracket on the Schwinn Paramount

| The main cartridge of the bottom bracket goes in from the drive side. The threads are reversed on the drive side (turn it counter-clockwise to install/tighten). I applied a little bit of grease on the threads (to minimize the chance for cross-threading and possibly reduce corrosion). |

| On the LH (non-drive side, there a locking ring that threads in. It appears to have some thread-locking compound pre-applied to it. |

| On the drive side, I can hand thread the assembly all the way in. Now I need the special tool to put a little bit of torque on it. |

| On the non-drive side, I can only hand thread it in this far. The thread locking compound makes it harder to turn. Need the special tool... |

| The bolts for attaching the crank arms to the tapered-square spindle are the right size and can be reused from the Miele bike. |
