Old & Rough Tool Case - part 27 -- Cleaning the paint splatter off of the top of the case

There's several paint spots on the back half of the top of the case.
I had previously cleaned the front half.
To take the paint off, I used a razor blade and very carefully scraped off the paint from the leatherette, while trying not to damage the leatherette.
It's a tedious process of taking off a tiny bit of paint with each scrape of the blade.
The larger stain on the left side of this picture is the one being worked on.
This is before I started...

This is an "in process" picture showing about half of the paint scraped off of the leatherette.
It's coming off is very small pieces/flakes.
Because the leatherette has high and low spots in the simulated leather grain, it's tricky to scrape out the paint from the low spots...

Another "in process" picture.  About 1/2 of the paint is gone at this point...

After finishing the scraping process.
From any kind of distance, it's hard to tell where the paint used to be...

Repeated the above scraping process on all the paint stains on the top of the case.
Cleaning of the top is pretty much done.

Automobile Magazine -- September, 1994 Isse

I remember that this magazine was started by the guy, David E. Davis Jr., who used to be the editor of another magazine (Car & Driver?).  I remember that I didn't like the way the guy wrote...
I know that this magazine recently stopped publishing (I think this year)...

Nice Porsche Ad...

The small piece on the Porsche Chief Engineer caught my eye...

The Range Rovers were pretty much junk then (very poor quality).
This ad is touting the airbags on the truck...

Interesting ad for a BMW convertible (318i)

The old photo of Denise McCluggage with other famous racing drivers in the 1950s is interesting...

The most attractive part is the gated manual shifter...

I always liked these sedans.  I thought they looked good when compared to the Accords, Camrys & Altimas...

Montemozolo looks young.  I guess so was I back then...

I plan to read this article on John Barnard...

I like the look of this generation of M3...

This was the only good looking Nissan back then...

Another interesting article...

Good headline

Tuesday, October 27, 2020 -- Manhattan Beach Pier

Looking north towards the Santa Monica mountains in the distance.
The winds are abnormal.
They're blowing towards north/north-east.
Also, the winds at the beach are not as strong as usual...

The flag at the pier lifeguard station shows the wind condition...

The air quality index is bad.
The humidity is very low (13%)...
