Craftsman Toolbox that was used for Bicycle Stuff

Bought this from a guy who used it for bicycle related stuff when he was a kid (maybe about 40 years ago...).  He put the Suntour & Schwinn stickers on it...

After cleaning
The box cleaned up pretty nice.  I might end up using it to store bicycle spare parts...

Proto Tool Box -- Very Rough Condition (before & after repair/cleaning)

This is during the cleaning.  I didn't take pictures but there were many small dents in the lid that needed hammering out.  Also, the lid was bent and misaligned to the box, so it was also hammered back into shape so that the fit is better.  The box bottom was bent outward so it wouldn't sit flat, so I hammered it back closer to flat so that the box will sit flat.  The lock flap & tab were bent back to be straight and fit better.  In the end, functionally, the box is pretty good now.

I got this box for free so just some elbow grease to make it more functional and useful again.  Plus, it's Proto brand which is related to Plomb.

This is after cleaning.  It's been rinsed with water & is drying in the sink.

After cleaning
Turned out pretty good after all the repairs & cleaning.  Now it just looks like a well used but decent old tool box.

It's missing the tray.  Will look for one at one of the future swap meets.
