Dining table bench - part 29 -- Accent the legs? Getting the board ready for the epoxy...

Thinking of adding a contrasting wood detail on the edges of the legs to lessen the "chunkiness" of the legs...

I also have this board of purple wood that could be used for the accenting...

The knot hole will be filled with a color tinted epoxy.

Will set up some dams on this end of the board for the color tinted epoxy.

Flexible Tool Holder -- Blue-Point Brand

This is a "Blue-Point" (a Snap-on sub-brand) tool holder.
I have it mounted to the side of the Matco tool cabinet using three strong transmission magnets.

("Transmission magnets" are strong magnets mounted in the oil pans of many automotive transmissions.  They will grab metallic particles floating around in the transmission and prevent them from causing damage.)

The design of this tool holder is such that it will hold almost any tool with a relatively small shaft (ratchets, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.).
You can use the holes or put things between the loops and use tension between the loops to hold tools.

Monday, January 18, 2021 -- Martin Luther King Jr. National Holiday -- Manhattan Beach Pier

Although it's a Monday (& it's not a holiday for me/my company), the bike path and the pier area are very busy.
The weather is very nice (mid 70s F).

The parking lots are overfull...

The surf is still up...  A lot of surfers in the cold water...
