Thanksgiving Holiday, 2022 -- Fairbanks Alaska -- Part 4 - Sunday, 11/20 - Drive up highway 2 (pipeline)

After picking up the car at around 11 AM, had some time before checking into the first house we rented (3 PM check-in).

So, we went for a drive up highway 2.

It's the main road north & will take you to the artic circle and to Prudhoe Bay on the north coast of Alaska.

About 1/2 hour north, we noticed a parking area on the right.

There were some vehicles parked there so we stopped to take a look.

It turned out to be a spot with some information on the pipeline from Prudhoe Bay to Anchorage (traversing the entire state).

Don't know what this guy was promoting but he looked pretty lonely in the lobby.

They were using this space for seminar type of discussions with "important people" from the industry.
