Suzuki -- 14 & 17 mm Open End Wrench - (before & after cleaning)

| Wire wheel makes this metal turn dark. It ends up looking like it's stained black. Using very fine sand paper then some coarse steel wool, the silver color of the base metal can be brought back, like in the middle portion of the wrench in this picture (did not do the work on the ends...). Although it ends up looking very nice after the work, it's too much work to make the entire wrench look nice an silver. There's probably a less labor intensive way to get the black finish off (maybe a chemical...). |
