Miele brand Goose-neck for the Teledyne -- taking out the scratches on the top

The goose-neck has a scratched-up area on the top.  Also, the rubber gasket is stretched and torn.

Not the clearest picture but the area is pretty scratched.

Trimmed the rubber gasket to the actual shape of the interface.  Looks pretty clean and nice.  Also started cleaning up the scratches by using a fine file.

After more repeated filing.

Still some more filing (there's still pits in the area).

After filing is done.,,

Used 1,000 grit wed/dry sand paper to get a fine finish.

Last step was using fine steel wool to make the repaired area blend in better with the surrounding area.

Honda Motor by Tetsuo Sakiya - Before & After

Bought this book recently (actually, I think I bought some stuff from a guy at a swap meet & he might have just given me this book...).  Has a few tears on the cover.

After repairing the tears.

Flipping through the book, the story and pictures look interesting.

The Honda Library (part of the same department that I'm in) had a copy of this book with the dust jacket.  I made a copy of the dust jacket for my copy.
