Thanksgiving Holiday, 2022 -- Fairbanks Alaska -- Part 9 - Monday, 11/21 - Chena Hot Spring
Went for a walk around the compound.
As with many places we saw, there's old vehicles and equipment lying about.
Pretty common sight.
They grow all the vegetables for the restaurant in greenhouses.
With the hot springs, they can keep the greenhouses warm.
The lights in the background is the outdoor hot spring.
They light it at night with colored lights.
Went for a short hike to the "Aurorium".
The Aurorium is the building on the left, on a small hill.
Can see across the small valley and the lit area in the middle is the hot spring.
The Aurorium is a large room with windows on ones side facing the valley.
Nice in the heated room.
