White Cannondale Road Bike -- Cleaned the front Wheel

AFTER Cleaning

This side of the front wheel rim has been cleaned with steel wool.  Note how the surface is clean and now has an even "brushed" look.

Started using steel wool to clean up the rim.  Turns out nice but this is going to take a lot of time.

This is what the rim looked like before cleaning with steel wool.

4th of July Sale at Helen's Cycle -- Colnago C64

Went to the Helen's Cycle 4th of July sale at their Santa Monica store.  Went for the first time last year and found some great stuff.  This year, the sale prices were not as good as last year but still bought a bunch of stuff (Continental Gatorskin tires, tubes, lube, etc.).  They have an upstairs mezzanine where the PRO level bikes are on display.  The Colnago in the middle of this picture is the bike I want.  It didn't have a price tag on it.  My guess is that it's probably about $13,000...

Steering Wheel from the Buena Park Swap Meet (Picker's Paradise)

The overview picture doesn't show it well but the aluminum needs a little cleaning and the leather is also pretty dirty.

Got the hub recently at another swap meet.  It happens to be the right interface for this steering wheel.  Note that all the holes line up.  Need some screws to put them together...

After Cleaning
Found some screws that fit, but some of the holes have threads that are not smooth.  Will need to run them down with a tap.  The threads are SAE/English (not metric)...

The leather cleaned up.  Again, the pictures don't show but there was a lot of dirt on the leather.  The cleaning cloth turned pretty much black in the process.
