Colnago Tecnos -- Rear Derailleur, Chain & Rear Wheel Quick Release (current condition pictures)

Some pretty good road rash on he bottom side of the rear derailleur.  Will file & sand which should make it look a litte better.

Some road rash on the hanger area of the rear derailleur and the quick release nut.

The chain is SRAM 8-speed and has a "missing link" or quick disconnect.

The lever side of the rear wheel quick release also has some road rash.  I can be made to look a little better.

Schwinn Paramount -- Part 2 -- Already had these wheels

Will put these wheels on the Paramount.  The tires are very old and need to be replaced, if the bike is going to be ridden.

Mavic MA 40 seems to have been a pretty common alloy rim in it's day for higher end road bikes...

MAVIC 510 hubs

6 speed
The front and rear hubs match

Replacing the tires on the Cannondale -- Part 2 (removing the front & rear wheel skewers)

Sprayed penetrating oil on both skewers and let it sit for at least a day.  The front skewer after removal.  The shaft was stuck to the center hub of the wheel.  Had to use a little bit of force to get it out.  The springs are corroded and one of them is broken.  Both need to be replaced.  This skewer is a replacement skewer I installed several years ago (3?).

The "nut" on the other end is pretty corroded.   May not be able to clean.  Will have to try and see.

The lever end of the skewer is not as bad.  May be able to clean it up to usable condition.

The rear skewer had much less corrosion.

The springs are corroded and should be replaced.

The lever end is also not too bad, other than the spring.

The lever end is pretty scratched up from previous crashes.  Will clean it up and put some black paint on it.
