Whittier Swap Meet -- Saturday, January 11, 2020 -- Carbon Pedals

Bought these to replace the ones currently on the bike I ride.  The current pedals have a lot of scratches from multiple crashes!  Also, the mounting spindle portion is pretty rusty.  Lastly, these are lighter than the current ones.

"Forte" is the house brand for Performance Bicycles company.  The stuff they sell/sold is of good quality but not top end.  Usually their prices were significantly better than name brands.  My guess is that their stuff is basically made by the same companies (mostly in Taiwan) who make the well known brand stuff...

Installed them on my bike.  I have two pairs of basically identical bicycle shoes.  One pair is setup with the cleats that match these pedals.  The other pair is setup for Shimano pedals.

This is where the beach bike path ends (at the bottom of this ramp) when it meets Palos Verdes peninsula.  This wide car path is the way up to the parking lot above the beach which will allow you to ride on the car roads around PV...

Manhattan Beach Pier & Starbucks -- January 5, 2020 (Sunday)

The pier area was very busy.  The weather was warm (shorts & T-shirt).  Must have been the last day of the break for some people...

Looking down towards the pier/beach from the Starbucks a couple of lights up from the pier...
