Tuesday, October 20, 2020 -- Manhattan Beach Pier (bell ringing...)

I was sitting at my usual bench, taking a break before riding back home, when I heard some loud metallic ringing.  Sounded like a large church bell.
These guys were trying to straighten on the barrier poles.
It got bent somehow (most likely a vehicle backed into it...).
They were using a large piece of lumber (sitting on top o the bent post in this picture) to protect the stainless steel pole, while another guy was swinging a very large sledge hammer (looked like a 10 or 15 pound head with a long handle).  They kept beating on it but it doesn't seem like it was bending so easily...

Old & Rough Tool Case - part 19 -- cleaning a few of the paint/spots on the leatherette

Top left side of the case.  There's several white/silver colored spots on the leatherette.  It looks like paint splatter spots.
Using a razor blade's tip, carefully scrape off the paint...

This is mid-scraping process.  Trying to be careful not to cut into the leatherette itself...

After.  There's just a hint of where the spots were but I'll stop here before I damage the leatherette (what's left of it on the case...).

Same process for this white spot on the inside of the front lid...

After cleaning...

Same for these spots on the RH side of the lock...

After cleaning...

RH side of the lock looks pretty good.  Just a hint of the spots are left...

The area on the LH side of the lock gets the same type of cleaning...

After cleaning.  Looks good.
