MGB - Installed new cap, rotor & ground wire. Made no difference...

Stuff to install...

Made sure to transfer the plug wires to the new cap correctly.

Old rotor.
Can also see the brown grounding wire that was broken.

The air gap between the Pertronix sensor and the magnet seems a bit larger than 1mm.
But, there's spark so probably OK.

Replace the ground wire and placed it on the other side.
It really shouldn't make any difference since the Pertronix unit is probably a Hall sensor,  It's got it's own wiring so the grounding of the base plate shouldn't make any difference.

New rotor installed.

All three parts have been replaced.

Cap is held in place with two spring clips (like a lot of old caps used to be).

Bottom spring clip.

All done.
Started the engine & nothing changed...
