Started with small picks, screwdrivers, then eventually got the broken piece out with a pair of pliers, after getting enough of the broken piece out to be able to grab it with the plier tips.
Because of the detent ball, it took a little bit of force to get over it...
This is a 3/8" to 1/2" adaptor.
It's Blackhawk brand and made in the USA...
