Driving Museum "Cruise In" - Saturday, June 5, 2021 -- part 1

This is the first car related event I've attended since March of 2020 (about 15 months).
Very small gathering of an eclectic group of cars.
Kinda like a cars & coffee.

What's nice is that the Driving Museum is only about 15 minutes from home.

Nice kit speedster.
If you don't look too close, it looks nice.
If you get too close and look at the details, then it doesn't measure up.
The Porsche badge on the trunk handle fits poorly in the handle and the badge becomes obviously not a genuine badge.  But you'd have to get within a couple of feet to be able to pick it out.

Similarly with the interior details.  If you don't get too close, it looks like original type of stuff...

I'm not sure if this is a Caterham (no badges anywhere) but it looks like it.  Pretty spectacularly built and detailed.

I wonder how difficult the process was to get this "kit car" registered/titled in California.

Don't recognize the engine.
The block looks very stout.
cross-flow with fuel injection.

Very small Li-Ion battery.
Probably saves 15 lbs.

Genuine "Brooklands" wind screens.
Probably still need eye protection to drive (helmet would be better).

Very small diameter steering wheel.

Very neat brake/clutch setup.
Looks like the brakes use two separate master cylinders for the two circuits.

Super short shifter...

Maybe 150 miles range?
