Dining table bench - part 5 -- Cutting the ends of the board...

Setup the table saw with the cross-cutting "sled" that I made a long time ago...



The board wants to tip up so I used the old starter from the MGB to weigh down the board.
The starter is very heavy and worked perfectly for this job!








After cutting both ends.
I thought about leaving the ends "not square" to give it more character but this bench will be used at a dining table so may be placed next to other "normal" chairs.
Having a straight end would work better next to other chairs...

I cut the piece slowly and the blade "burned" the wood as I went.
Will have to sand the ends down to get rid of the burn marks...
