Old & Rough Tool Case - part 29 -- Finished cleaning leatherette and patent date on the handle hardware

The last side to be cleaned is the RH side leatherette.

The leatherette is in decent condition.

After cleaning.

The leatherette on all sides have now been cleaned to an acceptable level.

Cleaning the handle hold down hardware shows a patent date of:

September 14, 1909

This isn't when the hardware was made.  But, it gives a general idea of when it was made; sometime after 1909.

My previous guess was that the case was made in the late 1920s...
