Old & Rough Tool Case - part 26 -- Cleaning the leatherette on the top, sides and back of the case

Cleaned the LH side of the case.

I had previously cleaned the front half of the top of the case.
Now, I finished cleaning the rest of the top of the case.

Used "simple green" cleaner.

Still amazed at how dirty the leatherette is...

The top after cleaning.
There's several light silver paint/chemical drips...

The back after cleaning.
The center back piece of the leatherette is separate from the pieces that wrap over to the back from the top and the sides.
There's a couple of spots where the leatherette is missing a little bit of material at the joint and the wood can be seen, towards the top corners of the case.
Because the back was not subject to the exposure and abuse that the rest of the case has seen, it's in decent condition.

On the top's rear edge, someone mistakenly drilled a small hole in the case...  (I can picture someone drilling a small hole is some work piece while resting it on the top of the case, and overhanding the edge.  They probably thought the hole would miss the case when it drilled through...)
