Paradise Valley Model A Swap Meet -- 9/28/2019 -- Large Scale Jaguar XK120 Model - Part 4

Made by Doepke Model Company, out of Rossmoyne, Ohio (suburb of Cincinnati).  Model went into production in 1955.  The company went out of business in 1960.

It's nearly 1.5 ft long and is made of all metal, except for the interior molding.

The model sits very low in the front (as if the car has been lowered).  This was done by mounting the hubs for the front wheels upside down on purpose (by somebody).  It actually looks really good this way.  I may just leave it the way it is...

The original color (exterior) was the same blue as what's on the inside/bottom.  Someone repainted it in silver.

The silver Phillips head screws at the bottom of this picture are not original or correct.

I found some pictures of the original packaging and materials online.  It came as a kit that you put together with screws.  The body came pre-painted.
