Flat Files -- Putting on Casters -- Got one (rear) installed -- Part 1

Used a 1/2" thick piece of plywood as a spacer

Putting the casters close to the corner so that there's something to bolt through

The holes in the caster are slotted.  I made the mistake of drilling the holes too close to the center of the caster, in an attempt to stay away from the metal flange.  This put the bolt heads too close to the swiveling portion of the caster which interfered.  Had to slot the holes to move the bolts away from the center... (making more work for myself...)

This is after the initial drilling of the holes.  These holes then had to be slotted so that the bolt heads would not interfere with the caster center...

After completing the installation.  The two bolts that are at 12 and 3 O'clock in this picture, are located behind the side rail for the drawers.  Due to their location, the bolts were installed from the inside and the nuts are in the top of this picture.  Due to very limited space, it was nearly impossible to put the nut on the inside.  The bolts had to be just the right length.  If they are too long, they would interfere with the caster as it rotates.

This is the next one to install...  (left hand rear)
The one on the RH side is done.  The LH side is next.  It's just placed in position at this point...
