Christmas-New Years break in the UK -- Part 14 -- British Museum, Landing approach to LAX, Home & Fixing the Toilet Lever



Was here 23 years ago.  The museum has changed quite a lot.  The displays are so much better (they used to have a lot of the objects crammed in old wooden cabinets with minimal information next to the objects.  Now it's like a first class museum in terms of the object display cases, lighting, information, etc...











This is a recreation of the object above, as to how it would have looked originally (without all the damage and decay).

Almost home...


The old toilet lever in the master bath broke.  It was made out of pretty flimsy plastic.  Replaced it with a high quality metal and ceramic assembly.  You're really back home when you have to fix the plumbing...
