Tuesday, August 26, 2025 -- Fixing the kitchen window roman blind - part 1

One of the cords for controlling the bottom opening broke.

This screw needs to be removed to slide the cover off the top assembly

The end caps need to be removed to slide the cover off the top assembly

This is the control cord for bottom of the shade.
One of the two cords broke.
The other cord broke a long time ago & I had fixed it.
I'm using the same cord material that I used previously.

The replacement cord needs to be threaded through all the blinds and through the top assembly.
It's all pretty tricky but doable.

Some of the basic tools for the repair.

I had bought a set of long needles for the previous repair.
Using them again to thread the replacement cord through all the blind pleats.

Also need to thread the replacement cord through the top assembly and through the holes for the control cords to come out the top.
