Saturday, November 16, 2024 -- Anderson Plywood Tool Swap Meet

I ended up buying several things from the father & son who were selling quite a few items.
They came down from the Bay Area just for this swap meet.
They had this box with some old NOS screwdrivers.
They said it came out of an old gas station.
It apparently had been on a shelf and got kinda lost for several decades.
Very cool.

In the alleyway where they hold the swap meet, there's a new senior independent and assisted living facility.
It looks very nice.

The swap meet is in the distance.

There's about 15 to 20 sellers.
Pretty small as far as swap meets go.

About 80% of them are regular sellers.
The two or three that are people who come to sell off extra stuff usually have something unusual and or low prices.

Friday, November 16, 2024 -- Manhattan Beach Pier, Dockweiler Beach & near Marina Del Rey

Very windy day, especially at the beach.
The ocean was roiling.

At Dockweiler beach, there was a big filming crew taking up an entire parking area.
With all the wind, I wonder if they were able to shoot whatever they were trying to shoot.

This is the bike path as you are about to arrive at the Marina Del Rey bridge.
The wind was blowing in so a very strong cross-wind from left to right in this picture.
I was getting sand blasted on being pushed around on the bike.
The wind gusts were strong enough to nearly topple the bike at times.

Due to the wind, my average speed for the ride was down about 1.5 mph.
Considering how bad the wind was, that's not too bad.
