The 914 driver's seat was turned into a tall stool on wheels for the garage.
The seat track is still on it.
The design/engineering of the seat track is quite elegant in it's simplicity and minimalism.
The seat itself is very simple also.
It's a single piece of molded fiberglass with some padding and trim attached to it.
Very lightweight design.

It's a very simple mechanism with a locking tab that fits into three or four teeth with a simple pivot at the rear of the seat track.
The seat fore-aft adjustment is by pulling up on this lever which releases a tab in the seat track.
This cast handle is prone to breaking if it's pulled up with too much force...
