Friday, December 27, 2024 - SKMK's Honda Fit oil change

MG is clogging up the driveway.
Went to get some 0W-20 synthetic oil from the local Pep Boys.
They were having a closing sale.
Everything was 40 to 60% off.
So, got a few other things, besides the oil.
Had to take off the undertray to get to the filter & drain plug.
Six screws and two push clips.
One of the push clips was missing.
Found a similar one in the garage.  It's not an exact match but seemed to be close enough to work.

Whoever did the last oil change wrote stuff on the filter.
Can't really make out what it's trying to say.
I think the date might be 8/20/24?
Don't know what the 1802 & 4622 mean...
The current mileage is arou n72,000 so the numbers don't relate to it.

Replaced this white filter with a genuine Honda filter.
Need to order some more from work, and some drain bolt washers.
The intake manifold is plastic.
SKMK recently replaced the battery; very small.
All the fluid levels looked OK.
The oil fill and the dip stick are right next to each other.

Sunday, December 29, 2024 - Del Carmen neighborhood, north end of the Coyoacan area - cultural museum 1 (Museo Nacional de Culturas Populares)

While walking around the neighborhood, came across this cultural museum that was open.
Went in and checked it out.
There was no fee to go in.

There was a large display of masks and other objects that are or were used as part of different festivals.
A lot of it is made of paper mache, so that it's not too heavy for when it's worn.

Mural on one of the walls inside the museum courtyard.
