Schwinn Paramount -- Finishing the installation of the bottom bracket
Received the bottom bracket tool, missing link and some spare brake cables over the break. |
The LH side has a thread-locking compound already on the "nut" & is tightened till it bottoms out (with some minimal torque -- about 10 - 15 lb-ft). |
The white thread-locker material is still visible on the "nut." |
Fully installed and torqued. |
1 & 1/8" Wrench -- Marked "American Airlines LAX" (before and after cleaning)
The guy I got this from said that he used to work at the airport & this was attached to a vehicle at some point. Someone wrote the words with a welder. It's hard to know but my guess is that the wrench is maybe 60 years old...
after cleaning (not a dramatic difference. Put some metal protectant on it to keep it from rusting)
